The Executive Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Comrade Akeem Olalekan Dauda (AKOD), has presented 10 brand-new vehicles to management staff,as part of his unwavering commitment to staff welfare and institutional efficiency,
The vehicles include six (6) SUVs for Heads of Departments (HoDs), three (3) Toyota Sienna buses dedicated to the Revenue Department, and one (1) fully equipped Hi-Level Ambulance to strengthen the operations of the Health Department.
The move is aimed to enhance productivity, service delivery, and revenue generation.
The commissioning ceremony was performed by the Chief of Staff to James Abiodun Faleke, represented by Dr. Bayo âAyo, who commended Chairman AKOD for prioritizing the welfare of staff and creating an enabling environment for effective governance at the grassroots level.
In his speech Comrade AKOD appreciated the management staff for their unwavering cooperation and dedication since the inception of his administration.
He described the gesture as âjust the tip of the iceberg,â assuring that many more impactful initiatives are on the way.
AKOD went further to emphasized that the vehicles, particularly those allocated to the Revenue Department, should serve as motivation for improved performance and increased revenue generation for the Council.
The Chairman also assured that members of the Legislative Arm will soon receive official vehicles to further enhance their oversight functions and mobility in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
Investigator news reports that the ceremony was witnessed by the Vice Chairman of Ikeja Local Government, Hon. Abisola Omisore, who joined in presenting and celebrating this milestone achievement.
Delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the entire staff, the Head of Human Resources and Administration, Comrade Jubril Aliu, expressed deep appreciation to the Chairman and affirmed that the gesture would greatly inspire renewed dedication and commitment to duty.
