The National Civil Society Coalition on Transparency and Public Accountability has recognized Comptroller Sarah Wadinda, Customs Area Comptroller of the Lagos Industrial Area Command, with the prestigious Plaque of Honour for Distinguished Service, Trade Facilitation, and Customs Leadership Excellence.
Investigator news reports that Comptroller Wadinda’s leadership has transformed the Lagos Industrial Area Command into a model of efficiency and transparency, setting standards in customs operations.
Her exceptional record of service, professionalism, and people-centred approach to trade facilitation have earned her this esteemed recognition.
The award ceremony was held alongside the commissioning of a Water Treatment Plant and an Electronic Library at Festac Senior Grammar School, Lagos.
These projects were executed under the Customs’ Care Program,the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Mr. Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, aimed at promoting education, public health, and community development.
Speaking during the presentation, Amb. Kingsley Enwelim Nwanze, Director General/CEO of CELCE-Africa and Lead Convener of the National Civil Society Coalition on Transparency and Public Accountability, praised Comptroller Wadinda’s exceptional record of service.

The recognition further underscores the coalition’s advocacy for transparent leadership, effective governance, and strengthened institutional trust across Nigeria.
