In commemoration of this year’s Children’s Day celebration,the Iyewa Isale-Odo Community Development Area (CDA) on Tuesday 27,May 2025,embarked on a community outreach program,distributed books,food and drinks to the children in the community and beyond as they were treated to a memorable funfair.
The occasion hosted by the CDA executives,led by Hon.Aremo Olanipekun Aderemi was used to spread love, hope and inspire the less privileged children to look beyond their circumstances whilst pursuing their dreams filled with excitement as the kids immersed themselves in various thrilling activities, from games to lively music,dance,moral talks, light educational contests, and other recreational where hundreds of children received writing materials.,with lots of refreshments.
In his welcome address,Hon Aremo Olanipekun Aderemi stated that the initiative which is an annual event is organized to foster love and unity among children in the community.
“It’s a pleasure to witness yet another Children’s Day celebration. This day is one of our favourite days of the year because it allows us to honour and cherish the young minds in our community.
“Our children are our future, and it is our responsibility to ensure that they have everything they need to thrive and succeed.The CDA is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for all of our young residents.
“The Iyewa Isale-Odo Community is proud of the incredible children in our community who continuously inspire us with their creativity, curiosity, and kindness. They are the heart and soul of our city, and we must do everything we can to protect and uplift them.”he stated
He added that the event was made possible through personal donations from executive members, as well as support from well-meaning individuals in the community. He promised that next year’s edition, God sparing our lives, would be even better.
Investigator news reports that most of the guest who witnessed the event applauded the CDA for recognizing and celebrating the children with writing materials, while calling on other CDA’s within Isolo LCDA to follow the path of Iyewa Isale Odo community.
Speaking with newsmen, the CDA Chairman noted that Iyewa Isale Odo community is one of the best out of the 72 CDA’s in Isolo LCDA as they have reconstructed some drainages within the community and in the next few weeks will have a solar light powered by CDA executives.
He advised the children to concentrate on their education and their future, while appealing to individuals to have the mind to help and support humanity, especially the downtrodden children within their locality.
