TThe Company & Allied Matters Act of 2020 [CAMA, 2020] made express provisions for all Incorporated Trustees (IT) like the Igbo Speaking Community Lagos to be registered under Part C of the law by the Corporate Affairs Commision (CAC). Look at sec. 590(1) of CAMA.
Can Chief Joe Nnaji kindly provide Igbos with or refer us to where he derives his legal authorities akin to that of an “Alter Ego” in PLC or limited liability Company (LTD) with regards to Igbo Speaking Community Lagos?
By implication, the igbo speaking community lagos having been fully registered with an Ezeship branch enshrined- (Ezes Coronation) or Incorporated can function only by the legal framework as streamlined by the central CAC constitution and the by- laws tailored after the core objectives of the association but which must never contravene the parent CAC law or CAMA. Sec 598(1) CAMA.
Are Nnaji’s self-made laws now far and beyond laws stipulated by CAMA 2020 and the by -laws of d Igbo Speaking Community?? Igbos need to be enlightened.
According to CAMA, trustees shall never be less than 2 and shall never exceed or be above 15 persons. Decisions shall never be made by only one trustee. 596(2) CAMA 2020.
Has Chief Nnaji realised that no serious nor reasonable person can take him and his decisions seriously?
Can Chief Nnaji, who claims to be the Chairman of d board of trustees (BOT), kindly list out all d names, addresses, and contact numbers of all the other trustees including but not limited to d date and venue of their board actual meetings d last 90 days?
Trustees are responsible for holding and managing all the assets and property inside the Trust as well as distributing assets as needed to the beneficiaries who are members of association and not for themselves.
Trustees shall hold recorded periodic meetings. sec.591-594 CAMA. 2020.
Can Chief Nnaji provide Igbo speaking community with a 1-year periodic recorded minutes from his BOT meetings??
Does Chief Nnaji know that according to the law and his claims, his assets/ properties and d associations’ assets / properties are all open for “public scrutiny”?
Can Chief Nnaji with his bogus claims present the public with a 3 year tax returns filed and d certificate of d Igbo Speaking Community Lagos as BOT Chair??
Where has Chief Nnaji derived his legal authority for ordaining or coronating Ezes in Lagos state as a trustee of an association?
And why is Joe Nnaji not interesting in serving the association as clearly stipulated by d laws instead of extorting or attempting to defraud the Ezes and d members of Igbo Speaking Community whom he should in real serve to say d least?
Trustees also must follow due process of law by being transparent and accountable to members and authorities, and administer the organisation only for the purpose and object it is set for, and its resources used only as may be approved by the association executives and members- CAMA 2020.
Why is Nnaji now setting the laws, rules, and regulations instead of obeying all the already existing ones??
Under d law, the decisions, the activities, and objectives of d the Igbo Speaking Community Lagos shall be carried out and implemented by the elected executives headed by the President General (PG)
How can Chief Nnaji the self-appointed BOT chairman rectify or regularise Ndiezes or /and activities executed, performed, and implemented by the d Igbo Speaking Community as represented by the PG and his elected executives??
Every Trustee shall hold office for four years, and could be re-appointed for another term of four years and no more. A trustee shall cease to hold office if he/she, resigns his/her office, become insane or of unsound mind.
How many years has Chief Nnaji been in power or served as a trustee/ chairman? Can he present Ndiezes with his 1st & 2nd certificate of returns? or is he rather a life trustee & life BOT Chairman ??
Can Chief Nnaji clearly demonstrate to Ndiezes as a board chairman his efforts & attempts in resolving (most important part of d duties of the BOT) d divisions and conflicts that have engulfed and plagued d Igbo Speaking Community Lagos in d last 3- 4 years now??
Chief Nnaji, on what basis would any right thinking Ezeigbo with a mental fortitude take live goat & #250,000,00 to you?? And as what though?
Chief, does it ever come into your contemplation that traditional Ezeship is a community affairs and community based.. and once ordained, every Eze is only answerable to his locality and community and never to d central Igbo Speaking Community Lagos, not to d PG , not to any other Ezes, not to you nor to your board of truestees/BOT that is apparently non- existing??
Chief Nnaji, how many years is the chairmanship tenure of Eze Agbowu of Ikeja? Is he a life Chairman like yourself?
How many members has he in his council ?..and as public organisation open to public scrutiny.. which bank and how much have they in their account that can come upbto d table?
Can one ask and receive an authentic records of their councils’minutes of meetings or just copy and paste plagiarised versions of events??
Chief Nnaji, I am so certain that Eze, Dr. C C Nwokedi- The Okpoko 1, can easily provide you answers to all d above questions without a single qualm in relation to his own Council members and activities.
However, in all these, Chief, mind you, your greed, difficult/ complexity combined with your foolhardy – pseudo intellectual dispositions might turn your greatest undoings..
Chief Nnaji, I would rather advise that you think about the prevailing situation andcordeals of d general Ndigbos in Lagos state for minute…kindly stop with further polarisation of Ndigbo in Lagos and also desist from misqouting and making erronous references to you twisted mind in d place of d relevant extant laws governing this subject matter as they can, also seriously be used against you both in and outside court as the case maybe.
