Great significant milestone was recorded as Association of Professional Women Engineers Of Nigeria,(APWEN)Lagos paid a courtesy visit to the esteemed premises of First Exploration and Petroleum Development Corporation (First E&P) situated in the heart of Ikoyi.
Leading the delegation, the distinguished Chairman, Engr. (Dr) Wuraola Atinuke Owolabi stated that the essence was to foster closer ties with First E&P, exploring avenues for collaboration and mutual benefit.

The team who were warmly welcomed by Similolu Adeyinka, the Deputy General Manager of Corporate Services at First E&P graciously shared insights into their ongoing projects, corporate ethos, and future aspirations, exemplifying a commitment to excellence and sustainable resource management.
In her speech,Engr (Dr)Owolabi extended their gratitude to the management of First E&P for their commitment to collaboration and partnership, emphasizing the significance of mutual respect and trust.
Dr Owolabi eloquently articulated the vision and mission of Apwen Lagos, underscoring the organization’s dedication to empowering women in engineering, noting that the essence of the meeting was to marked insightful discussions on the current landscape of the energy sector, emerging trends, and prospects for partnership.

In the same vein,the Executive Director of Corporate Services, Emmanuel Etomi, and Head of Corporate Communications, Mrs. Olatomiwa Akande-Ayeni, expressed their appreciation for Apwen’s efforts in promoting gender diversity and sustainability in the engineering sphere, while applauding First Exploration and Petroleum Development Corporation for their industry contributions and expressed keen interest in forging collaborative initiatives, knowledge exchange programs, and capacity-building endeavors.
Highlight of the event was a presentation of the APWEN’s compendium to First E&P management.
