……..As lgbo Ruo Ulo Edozie Alaigbo Development Union Worldwide Celebrates One Year Anniversary ln Style

A clarion call have been made for the lgbos residing in Lagos to take most of their wealth resources and investment to the South East region so as to develop the region.
This call was made by the National Coordinator and founder lgbo Ruo Ulo Edozie Alaigbo Development Union Worldwide,High Chief Obinna Nnazor during the 1year.Anniversary of the group on Saturday 12 October,2024 held at the Swiss Park Green Field Estate, Lagos.
Chief Nnazor stated that development in the South East region would help in reducing insecurity in the region, development of the South East land,bring back industries and wealth creation of the region.
Speaking on the theme “K’anyi Dozie Alaigbo”(let’s develop lgbo land),the Coordinator stated that one of the greatest challenges facing the lgbos today is how to develop their place with community spirit, stating that without doubt and togetherness, they can build and develop the South East and reshape the future with needed ideas and sacrifice.
He emphasized the need for Igbos to take stock of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and tasks ahead, despite insecurity challenges in the Southeast, while urging Igbos to take their destiny into their hands and develop their homeland.
“Today is a remarkable day in the history of Igboland… We are telling the Igbos worldwide to take 90% of their wealth back home and develop our land and use 10% wherever you are.Here is the opportunity to review our historical, economic and socio cultural essence and most importantly, proffer ways and manner to improve on the common problem and aspiration as a people “
“Today in a wake up call,l wish to remind us of where we are coming from, about who we are. Let us therefore sit back and take stock and chart a new course for ourselves and a clear vision of where we must be in the next 30- 50 years . We are not calling anyone to leave or run away from any part of his abode because we are one Nigeria and nobody can be more Nigeria than an lgbo man”he stated.
High Chief Nnazor who goes with the title”Aguejijemba ‘N’ Ehihe” opined that there is no better place than the lgbo land despite the insecurity but if overcoming the effects and smouldering of the civil war, they can as well overcome it.
The Chairman of the Occasion,Chief Leo Okafor emphasized on the importance of remembering their roots and developing their motherland, noting that if the lgbos go back to develop their region, South East will be much better than Dubai.
Chief Okafor who frowned at the issue of insecurity that is tearing the lgbos apart, stated that with infrastructure development, industries and job creation, insecurity will be a thing of the past, while calling on the lgbos to maintain peaceful relations with other ethnic groups, particularly the Yorubas in Lagos.
Speaking to newsmen Dr. Onyemaechi Robert Uzu, MD/CEO of Ruzu Herbal Company, encouraged Igbos to come together and develop their land.
He said,“Remember, anywhere you are, one day you will go back home, and if you don’t develop the place you call home, where will you live when you return home?”he stated
Dr Uzu who is one of the major sponsor of the event stated that his company decided to be part of this initiative because it is a clarion call for every lgboman to go home and develop their region no matter what they have achieved or acquired here in Lagos.
Also speaking to Investigator news,Chief Vitus Uzoh, Patron of the union, emphasized the need for Igbos to invest in Igboland, stating that the lgbos need to develop the lgboland, and gradually South East region would be a place where many would like to visit.
Lending his voice,the National Publicity Secretary of the group,Rev Paul Eze stated that the essence of the event was to thank God for his protection upon the lives of every lgboman living in Lagos and also to celebrate one year of the group.
Rev Paul reiterated the call for every lgboman to go home and develop their region so that development can come to the region because of the generation unborn, noting that Nigeria is one and would one nation but must develop the lgboland.
The Mother of the day,Prophetess Adaobi Orjiakor Nnukwu Ezenwanyi 1 of Alimosho calls for unity and peace among the lgbos, urging them to know the importance of developing the South East region because it will bring about development.
