Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been proclaimed the victor of the February 25, 2023 Kogi Central Senatorial election by the electoral petition tribunal sitting in Lokoja, Kogi State.
According to reports, Justice K.A. Orjiakoin, the tribunal’s chairman, issued the decision on June 8, 2023.
According to him, Abubakar Sadiku-Ohere of the All Progressives Congress (APC) came in second place with 51,291 votes, while Akpoti-Uduaghan won the race with a total of 54,064 votes.
Additionally, the tribunal ruled that Sadiku-Ohere must pay N500,000 to Akpoti-Uduaghan as the petition’s expenses.
