Ambassador Chris Giwa of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau State has won the party’s ticket to represent the Plateau North Senatorial zone in the 2023 elections.
Giwa received 213 votes, beating out Hon. Mafeng Gwalson, who received 150 votes.
Hon. Lumumba Dah Adeh, the third candidate, had previously withdrawn from the race before it began.
Hon. Musa Gidado, Chairman of the Electoral Panel, announced the results and encouraged all candidates to work together to win the secondary election.

In response, Giwa expressed gratitude to all stakeholders and delegates for their support, assuring them that he would do everything in his power to ensure that the party won the secondary election.

Gwalson also stated that he will collapse his structure for the winner and ensure that he delivers in the secondary polls.
