The Arewa community in Lagos has expressed gratitude to Senator Barau Jibrin, Deputy Senate President, for his exemplary leadership and inclusive approach in public service.
The community praised him for appointing Ahmed Usman Kamba and Abdullahi Isa as Senior Legislative Aides, describing the move as a gesture of unity, trust, and recognition of Arewa’s unwavering contribution to national progress.
Leading their voices of appreciation, Alhaji Shehu Usman Sampam, a respected Arewa leader in Lagos, praised Senator Barau Jibrin for his humility and responsiveness to grassroots engagement.
He recalled how the Senator graciously received a delegation of Arewa elders during their visit—an engagement held at the residence of Senator Adetokunbo Abiru in Lagos—where the request for the appointments was presented and promptly approved.
This, he noted, reflects Senator Jibrin’s deep respect for consultation and his dedication to empowering communities beyond regional boundaries.
The Arewa community also expressed gratitude to Senator Abiru of Lagos East for facilitating the meeting and standing as a bridge of cooperation between northern and southwestern stakeholders.
His active role in ensuring that the voices of Arewa leaders were heard underscores a growing culture of collaboration and political inclusion within Lagos.
In further acknowledgment of shared goals, the Deputy Senate President reaffirmed his support for Alhaji Shehu Usman as Director General of the South West Arewa Community for Asiwaju 2027, with the Senate President serving as Patron.
Senator Barau urged Arewa leaders to remain vigilant in the ongoing PVC registration and mobilization,so as to ensure victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC flag bearers in 2027.
