APC Now Nigerians’ Worst Nightmare, Says Aregbesola As ADC Gains Momentum.

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) is gaining momentum ahead of the 2027 general election, with its National Secretary, Rauf Aregbesola, declaring that the party’s coalition has made the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) jittery.

According to Aregbesola, the APC’s policies have impoverished Nigerians and encouraged corruption, making the party the nation’s worst nightmare.

He stated this on Tuesday 12, August 2025 while addressing members of the party and others that decamped into ADC from the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, stating that the ADC coalition’s unity has caught the APC off guard, and Nigerians are now waiting for the party to rescue the country from the APC’s stranglehold.

Speaking ahead of the 2027 general election,Aregbesola emphasized that sacking the APC is a major assignment from Nigerians, which the ADC must guide the people to achieve during the upcoming poll.

To achieve this, the ex-minister stressed that the party members should ensure that the forthcoming registration exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC) were considered important by getting more residents to participate in  the registration exercise across the country.

“I am urging you to go out and spread the gospel of the ADC to all Nigerians, particularly those living in your local government areas.

“Tell them that a new vista of hope and opportunity now awaits them in our party as we promise a new deal that would see to it that our dear country, Nigeria, is reset to the path of development and progress.”

“I want you all to sensitize Nigerians on the need to join ADC and use the ADC platform to remove the APC government. Having said that, I am also urging you, as well as all other categories of Nigerians, to vote and protect their votes by follow-up vigilance.

“I am also calling on you to make conscious efforts to register as voters in this INEC continuous Voter registration.”he submitted.

The interim National Secretary opined that the party is building a broad coalition of progressive-minded Nigerians to challenge the APC’s hold on power,revealing that Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi are prominent opposition leaders that are backing the ADC-led coalition movement to reposition Nigeria.

Investigator news reports that the ADC has commenced grassroots mobilization in Lagos, particularly in Ojo Local Government Area, to increase membership and spread its ideology across the state.

To this end,the party received new members from the APC and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with the Lagos ADC chairman, George Ashiru, saying the people’s response indicates acceptance of the ADC ideology.

 

Speaking with newsmen,Deputy National Chairman of the party, Dr. Bamidele Ajadi, stated that Lagosians have accepted the ADC and are ready to work with the coalition, tired of the APC’s rhetoric.

Ajadi added that the response from here has further proven that Lagosians are tired of the APC rhetorics and aimed to embrace the ADC ideology during the 2027 poll.

“The essence of the meeting is reconfirm and confirm that ADC is the people’s choice because many are tired of APC and the situation in the country is no longer funny as the prices of foodstuffs is increasing on a daily basis and the government is not doing anything about it.

“With this large turnout,it shows that Lagos is ADC and the people are ready to unseat the ruling government”he said

The Lagos ADC chairman, George Ashiru, who received new members into the party, said: “From the response today, it is obvious that the people have accepted the ADC ideology in Ojo and we want to tell Nigerians that the coalition is removing the APC root across the state”.

Ashiru who reaffirmed that the party has the muzzle to unseat the ruling government because ADC is the people’s party.

“It is the people that controls Nigeria,we are just servant leaders and ADC is a servant leadership party and we are here to represent the people and not ourselves, therefore come 2027 the people will unseat APC through ADC.”

Lending his voice,a chieftain of the party from Ojo Local Government, Oluwaseun Anabo stated that grassroots mobilisation has commenced to ensure that the ADC membership net increase and more Lagosians embrace the ADC Coalition ideology to ensure that dividend of democracy spread across the state after the 2027 poll in the country particularly in Lagos.

Anabo who is popularly called McDede,noted that as a former Peoplea Democratic Party (PDP) member, he understands the dynamics of Ojo and the strategies that have over the years ensure that the PDP wins poll the the Lagos council during national elections.

“The affirmation shows that Ojo LGA is ready for ADC,I want to appeal to all members and non members to register as members of the party,if they have not done so and also register for their voters card ”

The chieftain stressed that he is confident that after the 2027 poll, ADC will become ruling party in the country, replacing the APC as he informed Aregbesola that plans have been ongoing to ensure that the ADC replace the APC at the helm of affairs in Lagos.

The ADC Chairman of Chairmen Forum, Lagos State, Deputy Primate Ademole Ifaogbomo while speaking with investigator news decried at the level of hunger, poverty and suffering Nigerians are undergoing in the hands of the present administration, noting that Nigerians are tired of APC and has embraced ADC as the party that recognizes youths and women and is ready to give Nigerians the desired change.

” By the grace of God,we are going to defeat the ruling party come 2027,I want to appeal to the people of Ojo LGA to unite, work together and ensure that they defeat APC ”

“Nigeria is in distress. The ADC is offering a platform to restore hope through unity and reform.”he stated.

The LGA Chairperson,Mrs Chidinma Esther Dikeocha thanked the party members for their sacrifice and patience, emphasised the importance of the mobilisation,she promised that ADC would render honest and transparent leadership that would guarantee equal opportunities for Nigerians.

Investigator news gathered that about 1,500 members of the People’s Democratic Party,Ojo LGA decamped to ADC.

Leading the team,Prince Derinwa Wemimo,a Chieftain of the party noted that their reasons of decamping to ADC is because the members in Ojo local government are tired of the insensitivity of the party leaders in carrying the members along.

He said that the people are tired of the bad roads in the area as there are no sign of dividends of democracy within the local government.

Prince Derinwa opined that they are going to deliver ADC for Ojo local government, while urging the people to embrace the party so as to attract the dividends of democracy in the local government.

Investigator news reports that those that are attended the event include Chairmen of different LGA,Hon Olasunkami John,Oladipupo Amos,Dr Olajide Adeniji,Dr Emmanuel Ochie(ADC Lagos State Vice Chairman),Dr Bamidele Ajadi(Deputy National Chairman),Hon Adeniyi Adekunle,Mr Olusegun Olufunwa,youths, women among others.
