Amb. Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi Appointed As PCRC Media Adviser.

Amb. Oluwayomi Oluwapelumi has been appointed as Special Adviser on Media to the National Chairman, Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC).

The appointment presentation which took place at the Three Star Hotel, Dutse, during the PCRC North Leadership Training was presented by Rt. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangytin, Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, ably represented by Majority Leader and ALGON Chairman of Dutse Local Government, Hon. Dr. Sibu Abdullahi, in the presence of CP Dahiru Mohammed, PSC, FDC, Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State.

This appointment recognizes her exceptional media leadership and strategic communication skills as Ambassador Oluwapelumi is widely recognized for her impactful career in journalism, particularly in security reporting, public advocacy, and community mobilization.

She has consistently led campaigns against the unlawful killing of security personnel, raising awareness through national media platforms and educational initiatives to promote public safety, security consciousness, and police-community collaboration.

Upon receiving the appointment, Amb. Oluwapelumi said,“I am deeply honored to serve in this capacity.

“My commitment has always been to amplify the voices of security personnel, advocate for their protection, and strengthen the bond between the police and communities.”

“Together, we can build safer, resilient, and informed communities across Nigeria.”

Investigator news reports that in her new role as Senior Media Adviser, she is tasked with providing strategic media guidance, enhancing communication between the PCRC and the public, and championing initiatives that foster trust, accountability, and community engagement in security matters.

Her appointment underscores the importance of professional media expertise in advancing effective policing and public safety awareness.

Earlier, upon her arrival in Jigawa State, Amb. Oluwapelumi presented copies of the Societal Concerns Magazine (Societal Digest) to the Executive Governor at the Government House.

This gesture showcased the organization’s ongoing Campaign Against the Killing of Security Personnel, highlighting efforts to educate the public, support security operatives, and foster accountability and safety nationwide.
