Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, stated that from now on, anyone who blasphemes Jesus will face God’s wrath.
Adeboye made the remarks during the RCCG’s monthly Holy Ghost Service for the month of July, which took place late Friday/early Saturday.
The cleric made it clear that he was responding to “one funny fellow” who claimed that some women prayed to Ogun (god of thunder) to curse the terrorists who massacred worshippers in Owo church because “Bros J” (a popular nickname for Jesus among Nigerians) did not respond to them.
Meanwhile, Daddy Freeze, a controversial On-Air Personality, made the remark while reacting to a video of some women cursing the attackers of Owo church.
“When dem call bros J and he don’t answer dem nko?” Freeze wrote last month. We abandoned African paganism in order to embrace European pagan ideologies. This will not end until we start telling ourselves the truth and take our security issues more seriously. “Christ’s message is love, and that is the first thing that is sorely lacking in Nigeria.”

“I understand that one funny fellow said that some people were calling on Ogun because Jesus didn’t answer them,” Adeboye responded.
Well, according to a Yoruba proverb, the mouth that the snail uses to blaspheme God, that mouth would kiss the ground. Anyone who dares to blaspheme Jesus Christ will now taste the fire of the Almighty God.”
Speaking further about church attacks, the cleric known as Daddy G.O stated:
“I don’t want to say much because I know some people will twist whatever I say.” But I’ve searched the Bible from beginning to end and found no place where God says a child of God cannot defend himself.
“Please let me know if you find the location.” He advised turning left if they slapped you on the right cheek. What did he say if they now slap the left? Do you know what it means when God is silent? It simply means, over to you.
“Every enemy of the church will be consumed by God’s fire as long as my Father is still on the throne, as long as Jesus lives, as long as His name is the consuming fire.” I’m not talking to everyone, o, I’m just talking to my kids.”
