The registration period for the 2022 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for school-based candidates has been extended, according to the National Examinations Council (NECO).
The examination body said in a statement issued by Azeez Sani, Head Information and Public Relations Division, that the registration period, which was originally set to end on Monday, May 30th, 2022, will now end on Monday, June 20th, 2022, at midnight.
While NECO has ruled out any further extensions to the registration period, it has urged all relevant stakeholders to use the new registration window to ensure that all eligible students are registered for the exam.

“State Ministries of Education, Principals, Commandants, and all stakeholders are reminded that there will be no further extensions.”
“The NECO Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) for 2022 will begin on June 27th and end on August 12th.
During the examination, candidates will be tested on 76 subjects,” the statement continued.
