Ikeja, Lagos — Ikeja Local Government has called on residents, business owners, community leaders and other stakeholders to participate actively in the Lagos State Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise scheduled for Saturday, August 29, 2026. 
In a press release signed by the Public Affairs Department,the exercise will take place from 6:30am to 8:30am across communities within the Local Government.
Residents are encouraged to use the period to sweep and clean their surroundings, dispose of waste properly and join the sanitation exercise in their respective areas.
The Council said the exercise is part of its continued commitment to promoting a clean, healthy and environmentally friendly Ikeja.
The release went further to urge all residents to embrace the exercise as a collective responsibility, noting that a cleaner environment contributes significantly to public health, safety and the overall quality of life.
