The Kwara State Police Command, under the leadership of the Commissioner of Police, CP Adekimi Ojo, PSC+, mnips, yesterday witnessed a significant milestone with the commissioning of projects and an award presentation ceremony held at the Nigeria Police Force C Division, Ilorin.
The event, hosted at the C Division premises and facilitated by the Divisional Police Officer, DSP Saliu Kayode, brought together senior police officers, stakeholders, and members of the community to celebrate excellence, strategic partnerships, and individuals whose contributions have strengthened policing and public safety in Kwara State.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of Otunba Taofeek Abefe Bello, Otunba Akewuje of Offa Land and Chief Executive Officer of Solid Worth Group of Companies, whose unwavering support for the Nigeria Police Force earned him a special appreciation award from the command.
The commemorative plaque presented to Otunba Bello described him as a rare philanthropist whose care, sacrifice, support, and commitment to the Nigeria Police Force have made a lasting impact.
It noted that his consistent assistance to the Adewole Division has significantly enhanced the division’s operations and reaffirmed the importance of community partnership in promoting security and public confidence.

Speaking during the ceremony, CP Adekimi Ojo emphasized the importance of collaboration between the police and members of the public, noting that effective policing thrives on the support of responsible citizens, corporate organizations, and community leaders.
He commended individuals and institutions that have continued to partner with the command in its efforts to maintain law and order across Kwara State.
The Commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to professionalism, discipline, intelligence-led policing, and improved service delivery in line with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, aimed at strengthening public trust and enhancing security across the country.
Otunba Taofeek Abefe Bello has earned widespread recognition in Kwara State for his steadfast support of security institutions, particularly the Nigeria Police Force.
Through various interventions and acts of philanthropy, he has consistently contributed to improving the welfare and operational effectiveness of police personnel while fostering stronger police-community relations.
Highlight of the event was the commissioning of projects at C Division which further reflects the commitment of the Kwara State Police Command to improving policing infrastructure and creating a more conducive environment for effective law enforcement.
The newly commissioned projects are expected to enhance operational efficiency, boost officers’ morale, and improve service delivery to residents within the division’s jurisdiction.
