LAGOS— Kogi State Governor, Alh. Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated Senator Smart Adeyemi on his 66th birthday, describing the former lawmaker as a distinguished patriot and a worthy ambassador of Kogi State.
In a birthday message issued on Tuesday, Governor Ododo praised Senator Adeyemi’s decades of service to humanity, noting his transition from a celebrated journalist to a respected statesman and legislator.
“Your life is a testament to the power of courage, perseverance and service. From your remarkable years in journalism to your distinguished years in public service, you’ve consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to the progress of our people and the development of our nation,” the Governor said.
Ododo noted that Adeyemi’s contributions to the media, democratic development and legislative governance have earned him an enduring place in the history of Kogi State and Nigeria.
He commended the former Senator for being a strong voice for his people and for bringing “experience, courage and intellectual depth” to national discourse.
“Kogi State is proud of your contributions and the honour you’ve brought to our state through your accomplishments,” Ododo added.
The Governor went further to describe Senator Adeyemi as an important stakeholder in Kogi affairs whose insights continue to enrich conversations around the development of the state and the country.
“On behalf of the government and people of Kogi State, Ododo prayed for renewed strength, sound health, wisdom and more years of impactful service for the celebrant.”
“Happy 66th birthday to you, Senator. May the years ahead bring you greater fulfilment, peace and enduring accomplishments,” he said.
The Governor joined Adeyemi’s family, friends, political associates and well-wishers in celebrating the milestone and wished him many more years of good health and fruitful service to humanity,the statement reads.
Investigator news reports that Senator Smart Adeyemi, who represented Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, clocked 66 on Tuesday.
