The Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has congratulated the Governor of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his re-election for another term in office.
Ododo, who described Adeleke as his brother and colleague, said the victory represents a renewed mandate from the people of Osun State and an opportunity for the governor to consolidate the achievements of his administration and further advance the development of the state.
In a statement signed by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, Ododo urged Adeleke to use his renewed mandate to unite the people of Osun State and promote inclusive governance.
The Kogi governor called on the Osun State governor to extend the hand of fellowship to all political interests and tendencies across the state, irrespective of party affiliation.
He also urged Adeleke to remain committed to the progressive ideals that have guided his administration and continue to pursue policies and programmes that will improve the welfare and living conditions of the people.
According to Ododo, with the election now concluded, all stakeholders in Osun State should put political differences behind them and focus on the collective task of building a more prosperous, peaceful and developed state.
He stressed that the responsibility for the development of Osun State rests with all its citizens, regardless of political affiliation, adding that the renewed mandate should serve as an opportunity to strengthen unity and cooperation among the people.
Ododo expressed optimism that Adeleke’s second term would bring greater progress to Osun State, while urging political leaders and citizens alike to work together in the overall interest of the state.
