The Kogi State Government has described the appointment of Dr. Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi to the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) as a testament to his outstanding record of excellence, integrity and professional competence.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu recently appointed Dr. Ocholi to represent the North Central geopolitical zone on the TETFund Board, a move the Kogi State Government says has brought pride to the state and reaffirmed confidence in merit-based leadership.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Femi Fanwo, the government congratulated Dr. Ocholi, noting that his impressive accomplishments in public administration, scientific research, policy development and community service make him eminently qualified for the national assignment.
The statement said Dr. Ocholi has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision and commitment to public service throughout his career, adding that his wealth of experience and multidisciplinary expertise would make him a valuable asset to the TETFund Board as it continues to drive reforms and strengthen Nigeria’s tertiary education system.
The state government also commended President Tinubu for identifying another distinguished son of Kogi State for a strategic national responsibility, describing the appointment as a reflection of the President’s confidence in competence and his commitment to assembling capable Nigerians to deliver on the Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to the statement, Dr. Ocholi, an illustrious son of Oganenigwu in Dekina Local Government Area, has earned widespread respect through his dedication to scholarship, policy engagement and national development, expressing confidence that he will bring innovation, professionalism and excellence to the Board.
Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo expressed confidence that Dr. Ocholi would justify the trust reposed in him by serving with diligence, patriotism and distinction.
The Governor wished the newly appointed TETFund Board member a successful and impactful tenure, assuring him of the unwavering support and goodwill of the Kogi State Government and the people of the state as he undertakes the important task of advancing tertiary education in Nigeria.
