…….Vows Zero Tolerance for Crime, Rallies Security Agencies to Protect Residents.

Ejigbo,Lagos–The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has ordered a massive security crackdown across the council area, directing all security agencies to intensify patrols, strengthen intelligence gathering, and sustain coordinated operations to keep criminals at bay.
The directive was issued on Tuesday during a high-level strategic security meeting convened by the chairman with heads of security agencies and senior council officials as part of his administration’s proactive efforts to preserve peace and guarantee the safety of residents.
In attendance were the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Yemisi Otuyemi; the Council Manager, Pastor Olusegun Ajagunna; the Area Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mushin Command, O.A. Odunosu; the Divisional Police Officer, CSP Abiodun Omisore.
Others are representatives of the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the National Orientation Agency (NOA), and the Divisional Intelligence Office (DIO).
Addressing the security chiefs,Aare TAT declared that his administration would maintain zero tolerance for criminal activities, stressing that the protection of lives and property remains a non-negotiable responsibility of the council.
He directed security agencies to increase their visibility through regular day and night patrols, improve intelligence sharing, and respond swiftly to any security threat before it escalates.
He also urged them to deepen collaboration with one another and strengthen community engagement, noting that effective security is built on trust and cooperation between law enforcement agencies and residents.
“Our people deserve to live and do business in a peaceful and secure environment. We will continue to provide every necessary support to our security agencies to ensure Ejigbo remains one of the safest communities in Lagos,” the chairman said.
Aare TAT further called on residents to remain security-conscious, assuring them that the council would continue to invest in initiatives that promote peace, stability, and public safety.
He encouraged members of the public to promptly report suspicious movements and activities, describing community participation as a critical weapon in the fight against crime.
The security agencies reaffirmed their commitment to working together more closely and pledged to sustain intelligence-driven operations aimed at preventing crime, maintaining law and order, and ensuring that criminals have no hiding place within Ejigbo LCDA.
Investigator news reports that the meeting ended with a renewed resolve by the council and all security stakeholders to strengthen the existing security architecture and sustain a safe, peaceful, and crime-free environment for residents, businesses, and visitors across Ejigbo LCDA.
