Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress, describing the exercise as a demonstration of democratic ideals and visionary leadership.
Ododo said the overwhelming support received by the President during the primary election reflects the confidence Nigerians and party members have in his reform-driven administration and commitment to national development.
In a statement issued by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo, the governor declared that President Tinubu’s reelection has become a “personal project” for the people of Kogi State due to the administration’s support for critical developmental projects in the state.
According to the statement, the President has demonstrated genuine commitment to the growth and transformation of Kogi through landmark approvals and interventions capable of boosting the state’s economic potential.
“The Governor sees Mr. President’s reelection as a personal project to unlock the enormous potential of Kogi State. The President has granted approvals for the establishment of an airport, a Free Trade Zone, an Agricultural Processing Zone and many other transformational projects,” the statement noted.
Governor Ododo stressed that the people of Kogi State would continue to stand firmly behind the President in appreciation of his support for the state and his determination to reposition Nigeria for long-term prosperity.
“For us in Kogi State, the reelection of Mr. President is a reward for his love for the state and for the greatness of our nation. His economic reforms are reshaping our nation and laying the foundation for long-term prosperity,” the governor stated.
He further commended President Tinubu for pursuing bold economic reforms despite existing challenges, noting that history would remember leaders who make difficult decisions for the future stability and development of their nations.
Ododo also assured the President of the unwavering support of the government and people of Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections, reaffirming the state’s commitment to progressive governance, economic transformation, and national unity.
The governor equally praised President Tinubu for participating fully in the democratic process despite being the national leader of the ruling party, saying the move has further strengthened Nigerians’ confidence in his leadership and democratic credentials.
