Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State has congratulated the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Duro Meseko, on the occasion of his 60th birthday anniversary.
In a goodwill message issued on Friday and signed by the Kogi State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Kingsley Fanwo, the governor described Meseko as a committed party stalwart, accomplished communicator, and respected political figure whose contributions to the growth of the APC and democratic governance in Nigeria remain commendable.
Governor Ododo particularly praised the celebrant as a veteran journalist and media icon whose courage, professionalism, and people-oriented journalism helped shape the Nigerian media landscape and strengthen democratic values in the country.
According to the governor, Meseko’s transition from journalism into active politics did not diminish his commitment to truth, accountability, and public service, noting that he has continued to champion progressive ideals and responsible political engagement.
The governor went further to commend the APC chieftain for his loyalty to the party, dedication to national development, and consistent support for the advancement of Kogi State.
“As you attain the age of 60, I celebrate your impactful journey, your immense contributions to journalism, and your unwavering service to our great party and the nation.”
“Your life continues to inspire younger generations in politics and the media profession,” the governor stated.
Governor Ododo also prayed for continued good health, wisdom, strength, and greater accomplishments for Hon. Meseko in the years ahead.
