Thousands of enthusiastic members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Somolu and Bariga on Thursday converged at the Baptist Academy School Complex, Obanikoro, in a strong demonstration of support for House of Representatives aspirant, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu “Dullar,” ahead of the party’s primary election.
The gathering, described by supporters as a major show of unity and loyalty, highlighted the growing popularity and acceptance of Salawu “Dullar” within Somolu Federal Constituency as party faithful openly declared confidence in his leadership capacity and political vision.
Party leaders, women mobilizers, youths, and grassroots stakeholders who attended the flag-off event praised the former council chairman for his contributions to community development, grassroots empowerment, and inclusive leadership style.
The event was led by prominent APC chieftain, Alhaji Fatai Bakare, alongside other apex leaders of the party, who encouraged members to remain united and committed toward ensuring victory for the aspirant at the forthcoming primary election.
Speaking during the rally, Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu “Dullar” expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support received from party members and residents across Somolu-Bariga, assuring them of quality representation, people-centered legislation, youth empowerment initiatives, and infrastructural development if elected into the House of Representatives.
He also pledged to build on his achievements as Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government by attracting more opportunities and sustainable development projects to the constituency.
Investigator news reports that as preparations intensify for the APC primary election, several stakeholders and community leaders described Salawu “Dullar” as a tested grassroots politician with the experience and capacity to advance the interests of the people at the National Assembly.
