A leading aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Mushin Constituency II, Seye Oladejo, has declared that he remains one of the most credible and trusted options for quality representation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Oladejo made the declaration on Saturday 9,May 2026 in mushin while unveiling “The Pact,” a comprehensive social contract designed to address critical areas such as youth empowerment, education, healthcare, grassroots development, and economic support for residents of Mushin Constituency II.
Referencing the popular Yoruba saying, “Gbogbo Eyin Oju la fe ni, won ni se ju won na se bi e,” Oladejo emphasized the need for responsible and accountable leadership, noting that the support and trust of the people would remain the driving force behind his aspiration.
He stated that his vision is centered on purposeful leadership and people-oriented policies that will directly impact the lives of constituents.
“I am one of the best you can trust because leadership is about results, accessibility, and genuine commitment to the people,” he stated.
According to him, his decision to seek election into the House of Representatives is rooted in his desire to translate years of experience, community engagement, and grassroots interaction into practical policies and legislative actions capable of transforming Mushin Constituency II.
Among the key legislative priorities highlighted in the document are the proposed Lagos Special Status and Infrastructure Support Bill, Local Government Autonomy and Recognition Bill, National Youth Skills and Employment Development Bill, and policies aimed at strengthening education, healthcare, and support for artisans and small businesses.
Oladejo who was a two term former Council Chairman of Mushin LGA also pledged free JAMB and GCE forms for indigent students, scholarships for outstanding students in public institutions, vocational training opportunities for youths and artisans, free medical outreach programmes, and support initiatives for widows, orphans, and persons living with disabilities.
He further promised to promote sports, talent development, and the creative industry through structured competitions, mentorship programmes, and opportunities for young people to showcase their talents.
The former Lagos APC spokesperson stressed that his experience in community engagement and grassroots politics has prepared him for the task ahead, assuring residents that their support would not be taken for granted, while pledging transparent leadership, inclusive governance, and consistent engagement with constituents.
“With your support, we will build a Mushin Constituency II that works for everyone — a constituency defined by opportunity, inclusion, and real representation,” he stated.
Oladejo also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership and contributions to national development, urging the people of Mushin Constituency II and Nigerians at large to support and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office.
According to him, continuity in governance would help sustain ongoing reforms and developmental policies of the APC-led administration across the country.
Investigator news reports that the event attracted a massive turnout as supporters and residents of Mushin Constituency II trooped out en masse to demonstrate solidarity and confidence in Oladejo’s aspiration.
Party faithful, community leaders, youths, market women, artisans, and political stakeholders were seen expressing support for his vision of inclusive and impactful representation.
The gathering also witnessed a major boost for his ambition as political stakeholders, including the Chairman of Mushin Local Government Area, Hon.Aruwe, alongside lawmakers representing Mushin Constituencies I and II,Hon Akinsanya Nuremi and Hon Kazeem Olayinka respectively openly endorsed his aspiration, describing him as a capable and experienced leader with the capacity to deliver effective representation at the National Assembly.
Speaking with journalists at the event, Hon. Aruwe called on residents and party members to rally behind Oladejo’s aspiration for the House of Representatives,while also reaffirming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the 2027 elections.
According to him, the APC remains committed to sustaining progressive governance and delivering democratic dividends to the people, urging constituents to remain united in support of credible leaders within the party.
He went further to urge the people to come out enmass and vote for their aspirant of their choice as his office would provide adequate security.
When asked by journalists after the event on what he would do differently if elected, Oladejo pointed to his passion for service, consistency, and track record in public leadership.
“My passion and commitment to the people will always stand me out. I have served in different capacities from the local government level as two term local government chairman to the state level as Commissioner, Special Adviser, Party Spokesperson,my work over the years speaks for itself,” he said.
The aspirant added that representation should not be about occupying a political office alone, but about maintaining constant engagement with the people and delivering practical solutions to their challenges.
“I understand the needs of the grassroots because I have always worked closely with the people. The experience I have gathered over the years has prepared me for bigger responsibilities.”
“What the people want today is someone who is accessible, experienced, and ready to fight for their interests, and that is exactly what I represent,” Oladejo added.
