The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area, Dr. Seyi Jakande, has congratulated residents of the council, especially workers, on the occasion of the 2026 Workers’ Day celebration.
In a goodwill message issued on Friday, May 1, Jakande described workers as the driving force behind the growth and development of the LCDA, praising their resilience, sacrifice, and dedication to duty.
He said every progress recorded in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye was made possible through the commitment, innovation, and hard work of its workforce.
According to him, Workers’ Day provides an opportunity to honour labourers and appreciate their immense contributions to society. He assured workers of the council’s continued support and gratitude for their service.
Jakande also acknowledged efforts by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to improve workers’ welfare and living standards across the country. He noted that policies targeted at better salaries, improved working conditions, and stronger social support systems were positive steps toward recognising the dignity of labour.
As residents enter the new month of May, the council chairman urged them to remain hopeful, united, and committed to community development.
He prayed for peace, prosperity, and greater opportunities for every household in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, while wishing all residents a happy Workers’ Day and a blessed new month.
