The Chief Executive Officer of Osaigwe Electronics Company, Chief Simon Onyekwere, popularly known as Onowu (Uba Zuo Oke I of Ofekata), has been installed as the Traditional Prime Minister (TPM) of Ofekata Orodo Autonomous Community in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State.
The coronation and thanksgiving ceremony, held at his country home last Sunday, attracted a large turnout of friends, family members, business associates, traditional rulers, and well-wishers from different walks of life, who gathered to celebrate the newly installed community leader.

Speaking with newsmen shortly after the ceremony, TPM Simon Onyekwere expressed deep gratitude to God and the people of Ofekata for finding him worthy of the prestigious title.
He also appreciated the royal blessing bestowed on him by the traditional ruler, HRH Eze Marcel Iheanacho Uzegbu, pledging to work tirelessly to unite the community.
Onyekwere emphasized that youth, women, and community empowerment would form a central part of his agenda, while assuring the people that he would not disappoint the confidence reposed in him.
Also speaking, High Chief Louis Onyewuchi Obi described the honour as well-deserved, noting that Chief Onyekwere earned the title through his commitment and contributions to community development.
He prayed for God’s guidance and long reign for the newly installed Traditional Prime Minister.
The Chairman of all Chairmen in Ofekata, Mr. Ikechukwu Okoro, described the installation as a welcome development, stating that the entire community was delighted to witness the coronation and thanksgiving ceremony.
Similarly, Chief Stephanous Onukwu thanked God for the emergence of the new Traditional Prime Minister, describing him as a peaceful leader who genuinely loves his people.
He also commended the monarch for appointing a leader widely accepted by the community.
A close associate of the new TPM, Uzegbu Gerald, disclosed that Chief Onyekwere’s nomination enjoyed unanimous support, noting that there was no opposition due to his proven leadership qualities.
Earlier, the traditional ruler of Ofekata Orodo Autonomous Community, HRH Eze Engr. Marcel Iheanacho Uzegbu, explained that Chief Onyekwere was selected based on his humility, selfless service, and strong passion for community development.
The monarch described him as one of the most illustrious sons of Ofekata, adding that his leadership qualities and dedication to service made him the best candidate for the position.
He prayed for God to grant him good health, wisdom, and strength to serve the community effectively.
Investigator news reports that dignitaries present at the ceremony included HRH Eze Mike C. Amah, HRH Eze Dr. Clinton Uboegbulam‑Nze, and High Chief Peter Anyanwu, among other traditional rulers, community leaders, clergy members, cultural dance groups, social clubs, and residents.
