The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released its official timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 General Elections, fixing May 2026 for the conduct of its primary elections across the country.
According to the directorate,the timetable, aligns with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the revised schedule of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), outlines key dates for the sale of forms, screening of aspirants, primaries, and appeals.
The document noted that the process will begin with the Notice of Election to State Chapters on Monday, April 20, 2026, marking the official commencement of activities.
The sale of nomination forms is scheduled to run from Saturday, April 25 to Saturday, May 2, 2026, while the deadline for submission of completed forms has been fixed for Monday, May 4, 2026.
Investigator news reports that screening of aspirants for various positions will hold as follows:May 9 – 10, 2026 — State House of Assembly, Governorship, House of Representatives, and Senate
May 23, 2026 — Presidential aspirants
The publication of screening results is scheduled for:
