The Lagos State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Cornelius Ojelabi, has extended Good Friday greetings to party members and Lagos residents, urging them to reflect on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and embrace unity, compassion, and hope.

In his message marking Good Friday, Ojelabi noted that the crucifixion of Christ represents the ultimate act of love and redemption for humanity, adding that the season provides an opportunity for spiritual reflection and renewed commitment to service.

He emphasized that Christ’s sacrifice teaches values such as humility, forgiveness, charity, and selflessness, urging members of the APC and all Lagosians to adopt these virtues in their daily lives and political engagements.

“As we reflect on the significance of Christ’s sacrifice, we must draw strength from His example by promoting unity, peace, and progress for the collective good of our nation,” he stated.

The APC chairman further encouraged Nigerians not to take Christ’s sacrifice for granted, adding that the season offers an opportunity for spiritual and political renewal.

Quoting from Gospel of John 19:28–30, where Jesus declared, “It is finished,” Ojelabi prayed for an end to challenges and tribulations confronting individuals, families, and the country.

He further described the Easter period as a season of renewal, breakthrough, and divine favour, encouraging Nigerians to remain hopeful and resilient in the face of national challenges.

“Let this Good Friday inspire us to continue working together as one people, united in purpose and vision for the good of all. The challenges we face as a nation are not insurmountable, and with faith in God and shared commitment to progress, we shall overcome,” he added.

The APC chairman also called for collective efforts toward nation-building, stressing that with faith in God and unity of purpose, Nigeria would overcome its difficulties.

Ojelabi concluded by praying that the blessings of Good Friday would bring hope, healing, and restoration to families, while expressing optimism that the Easter season would usher in peace, stability, and prosperity across Nigeria.
