The Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has strongly refuted a report published by Sahara Reporters alleging that party delegates from Lagos State were stranded due to the non-release of mobilisation funds.

The party described the report as misleading, inaccurate, and a deliberate attempt to misinform the public.

According to the Lagos APC Spokesperson, Mogaji (Hon)Seye Oladejo, no delegate from the state was stranded at any airport or motor park, contrary to the claims in the publication.

The party emphasized that all duly accredited delegates were transported to Abuja in an orderly, coordinated, and comfortable manner, with adequate arrangements made to ensure their convenience throughout the journey.

He stated that upon arrival in Abuja, delegates were also provided with decent and appropriate accommodation, further disproving the claims made in the report.

The party also clarified that the Lagos State Government does not fund party activities. It stressed that the APC, as a political organization, independently manages its logistics and finances through its established internal structures.

Any attempt to link internal party matters to the state government, the party said, is misleading and intended to create unnecessary confusion among members of the public.

Furthermore, the Lagos APC pointed to what it described as a recurring pattern of misinformation associated with the publisher of the report, accusing the platform of promoting unverified claims designed to mislead the public for ulterior motives.

Hon Oladejo noted that it was not surprising that such a report would originate from a platform whose publisher is also an opposition figure holding multiple leadership roles within his party, including Chairman, Presidential Candidate, and Treasurer — a development the APC said raises concerns by modern democratic standards.

The Lagos APC therefore urged members of the public to exercise caution when consuming sensational reports, advising them to verify information from credible and reliable sources.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening unity within its ranks and continuing to support good governance in Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole.
