The All Progressives Congress (APC)in Kogi State has commended the peaceful conduct of congresses across 239 wards and 21 LGAs, describing it as a “resounding success”.
Addressing journalists in Lokoja on Sunday, the State Chairman of the party,Hon. Abdullahi Bello praised the exercise, saying it reflects the party’s strong foundation and commitment to democratic principles, noting that the congresses were conducted successfully in all the 239 wards and 21 local government areas without rancour or disruption.

“The smooth and orderly conduct of the congress is a reflection of our strong foundation and the unwavering dedication of our members to our shared values and goals,” he said.
Bello noted that the exercise has further strengthened the party’s unity ahead of the 2027 general elections, sending what he described as a “strong message” to political opponents’ that the APC remains formidable and well-positioned for future contests.

The State Chairman attributed the success to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s leadership, stakeholder engagement and commitment to fairness for creating a level playing ground that ensured broad acceptance of the outcomes.
He also thanked the National Working Committee and party members for their role in the smooth exercise, saying it’s a testament to the party’s unity and strength ahead of 2027.

The chairman went further to laud security agencies for their professionalism and neutrality, noting that their presence and vigilance contributed significantly to the peaceful conduct of the congresses across the state.

Bello thanked party leaders, stakeholders and members for their enthusiasm, discipline and loyalty, describing their participation as the driving force behind the party’s success.
He concluded that the successful congress has reaffirmed the APC’s structure, strength and unity of purpose, assuring members that the party will build on the momentum to consolidate its gains and position itself for greater achievements in Kogi State and beyond.
