Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has extended his warmest festive greetings to Ndi Anambra and Christians across Nigeria, emphasizing the importance of embracing the values of hope, love, peace, and redemption that Christmas represents.
In his Christmas message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, that Governor Soludo reminded Christians that the season is a call to reflect on compassion, selflessness, and unity, and to extend love and generosity to those around them, especially the less privileged.
“As we mark the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are reminded that the season transcends festive celebrations; it is a profound call to reflect on the virtues of compassion, selflessness, and unity that defined the life and teachings of Christ”he said
He encouraged all Christians in this season of joy and reflection to practise the true essence of Christmas by extending love and generosity to those around us, particularly the less privileged in our communities. He affirmed that by sharing our blessings with the needy and bringing hope to the despairing, these acts of kindness mirror the spirit of the season and strengthen the bonds that unite us as one people.
He equally enjoined all Ndi Anambra and visitors alike to relax and enjoy “Onwa D’zemba”, a special event programme outlining the various exciting festive activities in the State
The Governor also urged everyone to pray for Nigeria’s peace, prosperity, and progress, and for divine wisdom for leaders to steer the country towards greater heights. He assured Anambra State residents and visitors of a safe and secure environment throughout the festive period.
