Awori Day 2025: A Celebration of Heritage And Unity–Aare TAT.

The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA, Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has extended warm greetings to the Awori people on the occasion of Awori Day 2025.
In a statement, Aare TAT described the Awori as a people who have shaped the history and identity of Lagos, and praised their contributions to the community’s growth and development.
He praised the Awori people’s commitment to harmony, community-building, and shared destiny, noting that their legacy continues to inspire governance and shape the future of Ejigbo.
Hon Taiwo also acknowledged the revered royal father, HRM Oba Dr. Morufu Adisa Adekunle Ojoola, the Oojon of Ejigbo and Ijan Land, as the living memory of the Awori origins and the guiding spirit of their identity.

The Council boss also celebrated the Awori sons and daughters who have become custodians of culture, protectors of tradition, and partners in the pursuit of a stronger, more inclusive community.
He went further to express pride in the Awori people’s resilience and unity, which he believes will continue to guide their hands and elevate their land, while wishing the people a happy Awori Day 2025, invoking the blessings of their ancestors and the spirit of their heritage
