Hon Kazeem Abiodun Leads Fight Against Drug Abuse, Urges Youths To Choose Health With Zeal,Growth With Determination.

The Shibiri Youth Forum has launched an anti-drug abuse initiative,with the Executive Chairman of Oto-Awori LCDA,Hon.Kareem Abiodun,emphasizing the need for a healthier Shibiri community, free from the scourge of drug abuse.
Speaking at the ‘Say No to Drug Abuse’ awareness walk, Abiodun highlighted the devastating effects of drug abuse, which destroys lives, traps individuals, and causes deaths.
He announced plans to integrate comprehensive drug abuse education in schools, starting next academic year, and to establish peer mentors, workshops, and awareness campaigns.
Abiodun also revealed that the LCDA will partner with psychologists and the Nigeria Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to train teachers and parents on recognizing early signs of drug abuse and implementing timely interventions.
The Council boss went further to state that the LCDA will deploy dedicated drug abuse counselors at health centers and establish rehabilitation partnerships to support survivors.
He urged Shibiri youth to choose health, growth, and wellness, and to be the change, speak up, and lead with wellness.
He announced the launch of the Shibiri Wellness Initiative,which include health screenings, fitness challenges,and mental health talks.
Investigator news reports that the event,organized by the Shibiri Youth Forum,is aimed to build a healthier community where dreams thrive, families flourish and youth excel.
During the initiative,led by Chairman of the Shibiri Youth forum,AIhaji Wakiliu Olarewaju,Abiodun joined the youth in a symbolic gesture,planting a tree and launching a message of hope, saying “Shibiri youth, let’s build this healthier community. Together, we’ll walk this path, drug-free; together, we’ll thrive.”
Investigator news gathered that Abiodun’s efforts are part of his 100-day progress celebration, marking his commitment to creating opportunities and building a healthier Shibiri community.
The community is coming together to tackle stigma, foster solidarity, and support those affected by drug abuse as the awareness walk is expected to transform into an unstoppable movement, with the community working together to say no to drugs and yes to life.
