Jakande Appoints Hon Bashir,DG Of Odi-Olowo Waste And Recycle Services (OWARS)

The Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA,Hon Jakande Seyi has appointed Hon. Magbade Oladipupo Bashir (Bashy)as Director-General of the Odi-Olowo Waste and Recycle Services (OWARS),effective immediately.

The move underscores Bashy’s leadership in local governance and environmental stewardship.
Investigator news reports that Hon Bashir who is a native of Ilupeju, Mushin, would bring his decades of experience to the role.


His educational journey includes Ilupeju Primary School (1982), Ilupeju Grammar School (1988), Institute of Textile Technology (1992), and Yaba College of Technology (2015).

In public service, he served as Councilor for Ward C1 (1999–2002), Supervisor for Environment (2018–2021), and Special Adviser on Political Matters to the immediate past LCDA Chairman, Hon Rasaq Ajala.

Jakande emphasized that,“Bashy’s grassroots base and environmental expertise make him the ideal leader to transform our waste management and as such, the appointment takes with immediate effect

Hon Bashir while responding to the appointment stated that, “This is a call to service. Together, we’ll make Odi-Olowo a model of environmental sustainability.”
