Jakande Launches Digital Birth Registration In Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye.

Hon. Seyi Jakande,the Executive Chairman of Òdì-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, has officially launched the E-Birth Registration initiative in collaboration with the Lagos State Government and the National Population Commission (NPC).

The eventThe event, held at the LCDA Secretariat, marked a milestone in the council’s push for transparent, efficient governance under his “HEWA Agenda”.

Jakande described the digital system as a “game-changer” for data accuracy and access to social services, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s Smart City Vision.

He emphasized that every child deserves a legal identity, and the innovation makes registration faster, safer, and inclusive.

Jakande praised the NPC and stakeholders for their collaboration, noting the project will bridge gaps in rural communities.

The LCDA urges nursing mothers, health workers, and community leaders to support the initiative by registering children at the Council Secretariat.

“Registering children digitally secures their future,” Jakande added.
