The Commissioner of Police CP Jimoh Moshood Olohundare who was received by the Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government,Hon Lateef Ashimi praised Somolu Local Government for providing a conducive working environment for police officers, saying it would enhance their performance.
CP Olohundare stated this during the Inspection of the newly commissioned Bashua Police Station, constructed by the last administration of Somolu Local Government under the Leadership of Hon Abdul-Hammed Salawu “Dullar.
He emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and thanked the Local Government for its support.
The Commissioner said,”this is a right step in the right direction, it’s is apparent that security is the responsibilities of all citizens, Police needs to be assisted, when our officers are provided with working tools and conducive working environment like Somolu Local Government has done, they will excel beyond measures,wee are grateful and thankful to you.
” I have told my Officers not to park indiscriminately in order not to hamper the activities of the Local Government,We are going to add value to this Community in terms of security “he submitted.
The high-profile meeting underscored the local government’s commitment to prioritising the safety and well-being of its citizens.
According to the Chairman, “We are keen to work hand-in-hand with law enforcement to address the security challenges in our community.”
Investigator news reports that the inspection provided a firsthand assessment of the facility and its operational needs, with a focus on improving police presence and response time in the area.
The duo discussed strategies to enhance the operational capabilities of the police post to better serve the community.
Investigator news gathered that the Commissioner of Police was accompanied by the Area Commander “H” ACP Sola Omilade,the DPO Alade Police Post .ASP Olatunji Oladimeji.
Present at the occasion were the Vice-Chairman Hon Taiwo Ojomu,the Leader of the House Hon Tunde Oyeyiola and other Councillors, the Chief of Staff to the Chairman Mr Sodiq Adeeso, Director Public Affairs Olusegun Akinyemi, Council Treasurer Mr Kunle Odusanya and others.
