The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Aare Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo (TAT), has appointed Miss Suzan Oyeniran as the official interpreter for People with Disabilities (PWD) in the Council.
This move is part of the administration’s efforts to promote inclusive governance and ensure equal opportunities for all residents.
Investigator news reports that the appointment follows a courtesy visit by the Executive Council of the PWD, led by its Chairman, Comrade Njoku who commended Aare Taiwo’s leadership and described it as a beacon of hope for an inclusive society.
“This visit is not just a formality; it’s a call to action. Aare Taoheed’s leadership gives us hope for an inclusive society where everyone thrives,” Comrade Njoku stated.
Investigator news gathered that TAT’s appointment of a PWD interpreter demonstrates his commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all residents, including those with disabilities.
The meeting addressed key issues affecting people with disabilities, including infrastructure, social services, and education while the Council boss pledged to provide an office space for the PWD’s quarterly meetings, further solidifying his administration’s commitment to inclusivity.
“Today marks a tangible step towards a society where everyone has equal opportunities. This is just the beginning,” TAT said, reaffirming his commitment to accessibility and inclusive governance.
