Philanthropist Chief Emmanuel Ubah Empowers Widows,Donate To Save The Needy Foundation.

Chief Emmanuel Ubah, a renowned philanthropist and Chairman of Ohaneze Ndigbo Socio Cultural Organization, Otowori LCDA, has distributed N700,000 to 20 widows across 15 local government areas in Lagos State.

This gesture was made to celebrate his childhood friend, Mr. Emmanuel Ejike Igwe’s, birthday, and is part of Chief Ubah’s ongoing efforts to combat widow poverty and support the less privileged.

The event which took place at his residence on Tuesday 12, August 2025 saw each of the 20 widows receiving N30,000, totaling N600,000, to support their livelihoods and provide relief in these challenging economic times.

He also donated N500,000 to the Save The Needy Foundation, which further solidifying his commitment to helping those in need.

Chief Ubah who is vying for the Position of President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State,emphasized that giving to the less privileged is a significant part of his life, bringing him joy and fulfillment.

“Giving and empowering the widows,less privilegeed in the society is part of my life and whenever I don’t do it,it will affect my happiness and it gives me joy whenever I empower them and putting smiles on their face”

“But today is a special occasion because it is my friend’s birthday,he called me to assist him that he wants to empower some widows because he knows that I usually do it occasionally.

“He sent some money and I have to support him to make sure that the widows are happy and when they are happy,I am also happy because happiness comes from giving to the less privilegeed and those in need “he said.

Investigator news reports that Ubah’s generosity has earned him widespread recognition and respect,even in Ohaneze Ndigbo Lagos State as he consistently uses his resources to uplift those less fortunate.

The real estate business mogul’s actions are seen as not only a source of relief for the widows but also an inspiration for others to follow suit in acts of service.

He called on individuals who are well to do to always assist the needy in the society, according to him”Your wealth comes from God,not for your own selfish interest or spend extravagantly but to assist those in need,the widows,less privilegeed, orphans and those who are hungry ”

He believes that wealth comes from God and should be used to assist those in need, rather than being spent selfishly.

“I know that any money I received is giving to me by God’s grace and my happiness is that I am giving it to those who are in dire need of it more than me” he submitted.

The State Woman leader, Ohaneze Ndigbo Socio Cultural Organization, Lagos State, Chief Mrs Eucharia Nwagwu commended Chief Ubah for his benevolence, praising his commitment to empowering the widows and less privilegeed in the society

Mrs Nwagwu prayed that the Lord who gave him the grace and wisdom to help the poor and the needy, will continue to replenish his pocket.

 

She observed that there are many others in their community who are by far richer than him but do not remember the needy, while thanking Mr Igwe for remembering the widows and wishing him long life and prosperity.

Investigator news gathered that the beneficiaries, including widows and students, expressed their gratitude to Chief Ubah promising to make prudent use of the resources provided.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs.Mary Okocha said, “We are grateful to Chief Ubah for his kindness. This empowerment will go a long way in supporting and improving our livelihoods.”

She went further to appreciate the Co-sponsor,Mr Emmanuel Igwe praying that him and his children will never lack as he celebrates his birthday

Another widow, Mrs Emem Samuel said that the first money she received from Chief Emmanuel Ubah was used to pay her daughter’s school fees.

 

Mrs Favor Eno expressed gratitude to Chief Ubah for remembering her,even in her time of grief, praying that God will grant all his heart desires,long life and prosperity.

Highlight of the event was the presentation of cash award of N30,000 to each of the beneficiaries and N500,000 to Save The Needy Foundation as prayers were offered and a happy birthday song to Chief Emmanuel Ubah and Mr Emmanuel Ejike Igwe respectively.
