Hon Muritala Rukayat,APC Councilorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC)for Okeafa Ward Councilorship position has said that she will make youth and women empowerment a priority if elected in the July 12 local government election.
Rukayat disclosed this in Ejigbo Lagos on Wednesday 2, June 2025 during the campaign ward tour of the All Progressive Congress to Okeafa Ward.

She emphasized the need for “accessible representation” and promised to create a direct communication channel between her office and the residents to ensure community needs are swiftly addressed, stating that if elected she would focus on the developmental needs of the Ward, assuring that she would put the people’s interest above his own personal interest.

“We are not waiting until we are sworn in before engaging the people. Governance begins now. The purpose of this campaign is to co-create solutions with our people and assure them that we are ready to serve with integrity,” Olubiyi noted.
“Today,we decided to take our campaign to the grassroot and I can assure you that the good people of Okeafa Ward will never regret if am elected as accountability, transparency and effective representation will be my watchword.
“I will give priority to youth and women empowerment and as you know we are just representatives so if the people can give us the massive votes we need them I can have the.courage to make my submission at the Executive council.”
“If I am elected, it will give me more opportunity to do more for the people of the Ward,” she said.
The Councilorship candidate hopeful urge the people of Ejigbo especially Okeafa residents to come out enmass and vote massively for the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidates in the forthcoming July 12 local government election, noting that a vote for Hon Taoheed Adebayo Taiwo and all the Councilorship candidates will take Ejigbo LCDA to a greater heights.
