The All Progressives Congress (APC) has set Lagos agog with unstoppable enthusiasm across the 57 councils of the state as it proudly presented flags to its chairmanship and vice-chairmanship candidates.
From bustling streets to grand party venues, the air was filled with excitement as APC’s influence swept through every local government and local council development area (LCDA) in preparation for the highly anticipated July 12 local government elections.
In Somolu Local Government, the atmosphere was electrifying as APC joyfully unveiled Hon. Lateef Ashimi as its chairmanship candidate alongside his vibrant running mate,Hon. Taiwo Ojomu.
The crowd roared with approval, celebrating their emergence as the perfect duo to lead Somolu into a new era of progress, unity, and development. Their popularity was unmistakable as cheers echoed across the venue.
The Lagos State APC Secretariat came alive with colorful fanfare as Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu, fondly known as ‘Dullar,’ the ever-charismatic Executive Chairman of Somolu Local Government, joined other influential political figures at the grand ceremony.
His energetic presence added spark to the event, reaffirming his commitment to the success of APC’s vision for Somolu and beyond.
Across the remaining 56 councils, APC’s flag presentations were met with equal excitement and high anticipation. Lagos State vibrated with synchronized jubilation as each council showcased their candidates, underscoring APC’s solid structure, deep roots, and readiness to dominate at the grassroots level.
After receiving the flag at the party’s Secretariat, Somolu’s chairmanship, vice chairmanship, and councilorship candidates were received by a predominantly massive crowd as they thronged the streets of Somolu in wild jubilation.
The energetic procession swept through the community with an undeniable sense of belonging and pride, as residents joyfully celebrated what is now widely referred to as #SomoluTuntun and #NewSomolu.
As the July 12 elections draw near, APC’s infectious momentum continues to sweep across Lagos. The party’s dynamic leadership, vibrant support base, and thrilling street celebrations have set the tone for an exciting electoral journey, positioning APC as the undeniable heartbeat of grassroots governance across the 57 councils of the state.
