As Nigeria celebrates democracy day, Hon. Sobande Oluwaseyi Gabriel, APC Councilorship Candidate for Ilamoshe Ward in Ejigbo LCDA has extend his warm greetings to the people of Ejigbo and Lagos at large, while emphasizing the importance of unity, active participation, and collective progress.
In his message, Hon. Sobande describes democracy as not just about elections, but about accountability, participation, and pursuing progress together.
“As we celebrate Democracy Day, let us take a moment to appreciate how far we have come as a nation and as a local community. Democracy is not just about elections,it is a participation, accountability, and the pursuit of collective progress,” he said.
He further stated that the resilience and contributions of citizens, especially at the grassroots level, remain the bedrock of Nigeria’s democratic journey.

Hon. Sobande urges residents to foster peace, inclusiveness, and unity, working towards a brighter future with good governance, development, and mutual respect.
“May this day inspire us all to work together with a shared vision for a brighter, more prosperous future. Together, we can build a ward that thrives on good governance, development, and mutual respect,” he added.
The Councilorship hopeful reiterates his dedication to transparent leadership, youth empowerment, and community development, assuring residents that their voices will be heard and valued.
In the same vein, the Councilorship Candidate for Oke Afa ward in Ejigbo LCDA Hon.Rukayat Olabisi Muritala calls on Nigerians to reflects on the significance of democracy in shaping the nation’s future.
She emphasizes that democracy thrives when citizens are engaged, leaders are accountable, and opportunities are available to all.

Lending his voice, the Councilorship hopeful for Aigbaka ward,Hon Taiwo Hassan Idowu opined that democracy day remains a significant period as far as Nigeria democracy is concerned, while calling on the people of Ejigbo especially Aigbaka ward to remain steadfast in their commitment to the development and progress of Ejigbo LCDA
