The Mayor of Isolo LCDA, Olasoju Adebayo, has congratulated Muslim faithful in Isolo LCDA and across the globe on the auspicious occasion of this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebration.
Olasoju, in a special Eid message released by his Deputy Chief Press Secretary Damilola Kushimo,urged adherents of the Islamic faith and everyone celebrating the festival to uphold its true essence which are love, compassion, and sacrifice as exemplified by Almighty Allah’s mercy towards Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Isma’il.
The council chairman went further to call for the extension of these virtues to non-Muslims within and around the council area, emphasizing the importance of unity and inclusivity during the celebration.
He stressed that the joy of the festival should be shared widely so that everyone, regardless of religious background, can have a memorable and joyful experience.
“Today is a time to reflect on the profound message of Eid-ul-Adha. It is not just about the act of sacrifice but about the values it represents unwavering faith, selflessness, and love for humanity,” Olasoju stated.
He urged residents to use the occasion to strengthen community bonds and to pray for peace, progress, and prosperity in Isolo LCDA, Lagos State, and Nigeria at large.
“Let this Eid be a reminder that we are stronger together. Let us look out for one another, share our blessings, and build a more compassionate society,” he added.
Olasoju concluded by urging all and sundry to observe the celebration within the ambit of morality and ambit and security and he wished everyone a joyous and memorable celebration.
“On behalf of my family and the council vice chairman, Hon. Shakir Sadiq Adeola, I wish every Muslim faithful a joyous celebration and it’s my prayer that the blessing inherit in observing this celebration will not elude anyone. Eid Mubarak!,” Olasoju concluded.
