Lagos APC Sets Party Guidelines for Local Councils Election Candidates.
Primaries to hold May 10, Chairmanship and Councilorship form for N5m and N1m respectively.

Ahead of the 2025 local government election,the Lagos State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress has issued guidelines for the nomination of candidates for Local Governments and LCDA Offices for the 2025 elections.
According to the release signed by the State Secretary stated that the academic requirement for both Councilor and Chairmanship aspirants is the Secondary School Certificate as the minimum.
Investigator news reports that the nomination fee for Chairmanship is ₦5,000,000 plus ₦500,000 administrative fee, while female aspirants receive a 50% discount, paying ₦2,500,000 plus ₦500,000 administrative fee.

Youth aged 40 years and below aspiring for Chairmanship also receive a 50% discount plus ₦500,000 administrative fee. Forms are free for Persons with disabilities, with an administrative fee of ₦250,000
While prospective Councilorship aspirants must pay ₦1,000,000 plus an administrative fee of ₦100,000, while female aspirants are required to pay ₦500,000 plus ₦100,000 administrative fee. A 50% discount will be applied to Youth Councillorship aspirants, with an additional ₦100,000 administrative fee.
Investigator news gathered that aspirants holding public office are to resign at least 30 days prior to the election and party’s primary as sale and submission of party forms will occur from Wednesday, April 23rd, to Saturday, April 26th, 2025.
The statement reads;All aspirants are required to report for screening before a five-member committee designated for each local government and LCDAs. Letters of intent are to be submitted between Wednesday, April 23rd, and Saturday, April 26th, 2025.”
“Party primaries are set for May 10th, 2025, while the collection and submission of LASIEC forms will take place from Sunday, May 11th, to Wednesday, May 14th, 2025.”
” All accredited party members from the ward, possessing their APC Membership card and corresponding PVC to the ward, are entitled to participate in a direct primary system to elect their preferred aspirant.”
