The Ogun State Youth leader of New Nigeria People’s Party,Hon.(Rtn)Funso Jide Adekunle has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Christian faithful, urging them to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, and unity as Christians across the country celebrate Easter.
In a goodwill message released by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Comrade lkpeama Emmanuel,Hon Fushi said that the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ,which is the essence of Easter,is a special gift from God to mankind,noting that it is a time for reflection,renewal and hope,and called on Christians to embrace the virtues of love,sacrifice and unity exemplified by Jesus Christ.
” Easter offers us a sacred opportunity to reflect on the foundation of our Christian faith,the death, burial, and glorious resurrection of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
“It is a time for renewal, deep introspection, and unwavering hope. His resurrection assures us of victory over sin, despair, and every adversity,”
“The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our faith as Christians, and it teaches us that even in the face of trials and tribulations, there is hope for a better tomorrow,” he said.
The 2023 House of Assembly Candidate went further to call on Nigerians across religious and ethnic divides to embrace love, peace, and tolerance to build a safe, unified and prosperous nation, while urging Christians in Ogun State to use the occasion to pray for the unity, peace, security, and continued progress of the state and the nation at large.
“As we celebrate Easter, I urge all Nigerians—regardless of religious or political affiliation—to pray for our dear country.”
“We must come together to rebuild trust, strengthen institutions, and support policies that promote economic recovery, peace, and social justice. Our collective efforts are key to the Nigeria of our dreams,” he submitted.
