Imo First Lady Mentorship Program Ends In Imo

The Imo State Shared Prosperity government, in her effort to build tomorrow’s leaders through Good Hope Women’s Initiative organized a one – day capacity building tagged” Reaching Forward Mentorship Program For Women And Girls” held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at Rockview Hotel, Owerri.
As the main objective is to nurture and inspire young women and instill them with ethical principles and values to excel in their choosing careers.
The event which involved all the secondary schools and universities in Imo state graced the occasion to learn steps towards positioning themselves for better future.
Speaking to journalists shortly after the event, the Imo State First Lady, Her Excellency Barr. Dr. Chioma Uzodimma, expressed happiness for the outcome of the program and says it has been her desire to encourage young girls and women for them to know that they are not alone.
She revealed that the program aimed at equipping women and girls with the guidance, skills, and confidence to excel, charged the pupils to discover who they are, saying it would help them control their future.
The First Lady, disclosed that she is a product of mentorship and the impact really helped her to stand tall today.
She advised the young girls not to relent, no matter the challenges facing them they will still be what they wants to be in life through good mentorship.
The founder Good Hope Women’s Initiative, assured that she will continue to empower young girls and women in the state for better development, even as she commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his love and support.
She said, ” God be in our side, it will get to the targeted people so that in future years to come, our girl child will make us proud and will still feel fulfilled in whichever careers they have chosen”. She stated.
