On Tuesday in Ogun State, three people were reportedly killed when suspected cultists clashed in Abeokuta, the state capital.
The brawl occurred as a result of the gruesome murder of a suspected Aiye cult member on Sunday, according to reports.
It was discovered that the victim’s coworkers went on the rampage in an attempt to avenge the death of the local boy known as Wale.

Two people were killed early Tuesday near Slaab and Amolasho, according to a security source.
As rival cult groups ‘overran’ the State capital on Tuesday morning, one person was killed in front of a filling station in the Ijaye area of the metropolis.
The bodies have been removed and deposited in the mortuary, according to the source.
The Ogun State police command sent its men to the affected areas in an attempt to restore normalcy, but the cultists allegedly engaged the police in a gun battle.
Residents and motorists took cover as the incident halted commercial activity around Ijaye and Iyana Mortuary.
Six men belonging to the Eiye and Aiye confraternities have been arrested in Abeokuta, according to the Ogun State police spokesman, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi.
Kazeem Ogundairo (a.k.a. NEPA), Ayo Joshua (a.k.a. Terry G), Nasiru Idris (a.k.a. Aloma), Bisiriyu Ibrahim Owoyele, Damilare Shogbamu (a.k.a. Dhray), and Labulo Jamiu were the suspects, according to Oyeyemi (a.k.a Jay boy).
Residents of Ijaye contacted the police to report “cultists running riot in the area,” he said, and they were arrested.
According to him, the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, dispatched a special squad led by ACP Bolanle Muritala to the scene in order to bring the situation under control.

“When the hoodlums saw the cops, some fled in different directions, while others confronted them with deadly weapons.
“At the end of the fight, the squad was able to apprehend six of the hoodlums, while others managed to flee,” Oyeyemi explained.
