The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, congratulates Princess Edna D.D Azura on her inauguration as the 16th National President of the National Council of Women Society (NCWS).
In a congratulatory message signed and released by her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity,Mr Jonathan Eze, the Minister stated that she is delighted to see a woman of her calibre and experience take the reins of the NCWS, stating that her wealth of experience and expertise will undoubtedly drive the organization towards greater heights.
The Minister went further to commend the NCWS for its commitment to promoting women’s rights, education, and economic empowerment.
Hajiya Sulaiman lbrahim noted that she is confident that under Azura’s leadership, the organization will continue to thrive and make a positive impact on the lives of Nigerian women.

The release went on to say that the Minister wishes Princess Edna Azura a successful tenure and assures her of the Ministry’s support in her endeavours to empower women and advance society.
Investigator news reports that prior to her election, Mrs Azura served as the first Assistant National Secretary of the Council and hails from Adamawa State, succeeded the late Haj. Lami Adamu Lau of blessed memory.
