Minister Of Women Affairs,Hon Imaan Unveils Plans To Upgrade Maryam Babagida Women Center.

The Honourable Minister of Women Affairs, Hajiya Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has unveiled plans to transform the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development into a world-class institution dedicated to empowering women and fostering sustainable development.
During a strategic meeting with the Director-General and management team of the Centre, the Minister emphasized the importance of enhanced collaboration to achieve shared objectives, calling for adherence to global best practices and efficient service delivery.

She highlighted that the Centre is vital in driving the Ministry’s 19-point bond noting that the Centre needs to be restructured to align with international best practices, enhancing efficiency and positioning it as a model for women’s empowerment.
The Minister also emphasized the importance of leaving a lasting legacy and urged the Centre to align with the Ministry’s pact with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to achieve 19 thematic areas towards realizing the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Investigator news reports that the meeting was followed by a facility tour of the Centre, led by the Minister, the Permanent Secretary, and other senior government officials.
It will be recalled that Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) is a government agency under the federal ministry of women affairs dedicated to promoting the advancement and empowerment of women in Nigeria.
