………….As Constituency Forum Celebrates Excellence Award

Amidst pomp and pageantry, the Member Representing Oshodi/lsolo ll Federal Constituency at the National Assembly,Hon.(Bar) Okey Joe Onuakalusi,the Executive Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA,Hon. Monsurudeen Bello, Otunba Henry Ajomale, Ambassador Eze Nicholas Njoku,the Eze Ndigbo of Aigbaka Ejigbo and other personalities were honoured during the just concluded 2024 Constituency Forum Awards, held in Lagos on Friday, December 20,2024 at Mingles Hotel,Lagos.

The awards were organized to celebrate deserving individuals, corporate bodies and political stakeholders who in one way or the other, have distinguished themselves and made huge impact in the growth of the society at the local, state and national levels especially Oshodi lsolo State Constituency ll.

It was a night of celebration of Excellence that fostered unity within constituency ll which comprises.of lsolo and Ejigbo.A night to remember commitment, faithfulness,men of goodwill and honor that have brought hope and smiles to the people.

About 20  eminent personalities,cutting across politics, security and businesses were honoured for their outstanding service to humanity and to the Constituency .

Hon Okey Joe who was represented by his Constituency Admin Officer,Engr. Walter Ukaga, in his address stated that the event is a testament to the unity, progress, and shared commitment of the people toward building a prosperous and inclusive constituency.

He went further to state that as a lawmaker representing Oshodi/lsolo Ii at the Federal House of Representatives,he remains steadfast in his dedication to impactful representation, ensuring that every effort he made is to touch lives positively and elevate the standards of governance in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2.

“Tonight, as we celebrate excellence and recognize outstanding contributions, we are reminded of the power of collaboration and the spirit of community that binds us all.

I remain steadfast in my dedication to impactful representation, ensuring that every effort is made to touch lives positively and elevate the standards of governance in Oshodi-Isolo Constituency 2.”

Bar Okey Joe noted that the award would spur him to bring more dividends to the people of Oshodi/lsolo Il federal constituency.

Also bestowed with the Leadership Prestigious Award is Hon Ganiyu Abiodun Johnson who received the award for his transformative constituency impact.

 

Hon Johnson who was ably represented by his Digital Media Aide, Amb. Abiodun Ajayi,expressed profound gratitude to the organizers for acknowledging his principal’s unwavering commitment to service, stating that hon Johnson remains committed to building a constituency that sets a benchmark for others through strategic development & impactful representation.

Chief Otunba Henry Ajomale was bestowed with lifetime achievement award for his leadership role and significant projects in Oshodi/lsolo Constituency ll and lagos in general.

The Executive Chairman of Ejigbo LCDA,Hon Monsurudeen Oloyede Bello who was represented by the Secretary to the local government,Hon Fregene was bestowed with the community service award which is in recognition of his outstanding and significant roles in grassroots governance,his sincerity of purposes to drive the common  course of developing Ejigbo to the nitty gritty which he has chatted and felt by all and sundry.

 

Ambassador Eze Nicholas Njoku, the Eze Ndigbo of Aigbaka Ejigbo and Chairman of Ndieze South West received the humanitarian award for his selfless contribution and outstanding service to humanity in Ejigbo and beyond.

Eze Ambassador Njoku who was represented by the former coordinator of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ejigbo chapter, Comrade Akintunde thanked the organizers for the award, stating that the award is a testament of his little and selfless contribution to humanity, while reaffirming that as God lives on the throne,he will continue to serve humanity and speak the truth always.

Other awardees include the Honourable member representing Oshodi/lsolo ll at the State House of Assembly,Hon Ladi Ajomale who was represented by Team LA and was giving distinguished leadership award for his outstanding leadership and unwavering dedication to the progress and development of Oshodi-Isolo Constituency ll.

The organizer stated that his efforts have significantly contributed to advancing the constituency, fostering growth, and addressing key community needs through impactful legislation and advocacy.

In response to the recognition,Hon Ladi through his representative  expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the constituency with integrity and a focus on sustainable development, noting that the honor has underscores his exemplary role as a leader and his consistent drive to improve the lives of those he represents.

Similarly,Hon Abiodun Muniru received (Leadership award),Hon Michael Olatunde (Excellence award),Mr Henry Shodunke(Excellence award),Mrs Abiola Olalekan (Excellence award),Dr Segun Musa (humanitarian award)and Mr Ayodele Eyitayo,CEO of SMA radio and proprietor of SMA college (Award of Excellence).

For Community Service award goes to Mr Afis Yussuf Olalekan (Arizona), Alhaji Jubril Olamowewe (Community service award)and Comrade Sodiq got the outstanding service award.

Others are Comrade Akintunde (Constituency youth leadership award),Hon Lasisi ldris Aloma(team player award),Hon Akeem Adelabu(Constituency youth ambassador –male),Hon Kehinde Ajala(Constituency youth ambassador —female),most supportive award goes to Hon Buhari,Echo newspaper also received award of excellence.

Hon. Isiaq Olawole Olaleye,one of the Chairmanship Aspirant for Ejigbo LCDA,was also  honored with a distinguished award.

Investigator news also gathered that Azeem Yemi aka Ola fathia was given the humanitarian and philanthropic award.This recognition comes as no surprise, as his unwavering commitment to serving his community and uplifting those in need has been widely acknowledged.

Ola fathia, known for his tireless efforts in improving the lives of the less fortunate, has been actively involved in various philanthropic initiatives over the years. From providing financial aid to underprivileged students to mobilizing resources for essential healthcare facilities, his dedication to philanthropy has deeply impacted the lives of many.

Receiving the award,Ola Fathia expressed his gratitude and humbly accepted the award, dedicating it to the countless individuals who have been part of his philanthropic journey. He emphasized the importance of collective effort in creating sustainable change and encouraged others to join him in this noble cause.

” I am just happy and l return all thanks to God almighty for giving me the opportunity to assist people,it is not my making but just God and God alone. This award giving to me today,l dedicate it to all the less privileged in the society and it will spur me to do more for the needy and may God almighty continue to bless this forum and Oshodi/lsolo ll at large “he submitted.

Earlier the Converner of the Constituency Forum Award ceremony,Hon Olalekan in his welcome address welcomed those who attended the occasion, stating that this is an event that brings together lsolo and Ejigbo together which comprises of different ideology, political belief and differences.

He noted that the essence of the event was to celebrate excellence, acknowledge dedication and recognize self contribution of individuals who have made remarkable mark within the constituency.

” I welcome you all to this epoch making event which is first of its kind in this constituency to bring both lsolo and Ejigbo together.l want to reassure you today that with love and unity we can make it and move forward.

” Today we are here to celebrate those that have impacted positively to this community and we will want to encourage everyone to unite and put aside religion,politics and tribal differences. The event is a testament to our community strength, resilience and unity.

” We are blessed with talented individuals and leaders who have shaped our society in social economy and developmental progress”he stated.

Speaking with investigator news,Hon Olalekan opined that the forum was an inspiration which was borne out of the desire to bring together and unite Ejigbo and lsolo.

” Our desire and dreams is bring lsolo and Ejigbo together, seeing ourselves as one big brothers and with the theme of today, unifying lsolo and Ejigbo and celebrating people who have impacted positively within the constituency” he said.

He went further to appreciate all those who supported and made impact to ensure that the constituency award is a reality especially the committee for their steadfastness and dedication to the project.

Lending his voice, the Chairman committee of the constituency award 2024, Comrade ldris Lasisi Aloma noted that that the forum has set aside cardinal projects that they need to embark on this year which include repainting of two public schools in lsolo and Ejigbo, provision of 20 JAMB forms to indigents students and feeding the needy.

Lasisi pointed out the forum would always stand in the gap to bring unity among lsolo and Ejigbo and appreciate those who have contributed immensely to the development of Oshodi/lsolo ll constituency.

The Secretary to Ejigbo LCDA,Hon Paul Olugbenga Fregene who is an award recipient appreciated the constituency forum for having find him worthy to receive the prestigious award.

He dedicated the award to Hon Kehinde Bamigbetan and Hon Monsurudeen bello for giving him the platform to exhibit his skills and leadership qualities which has metamorphosed into constituency forum to recognize him.

” I want to thank God almighty that l was part of the team who worked with a man who has meant the yearnings of the people and today everyone is asking for more”.

” Today,the constituency forum has created a platform for us to reach and sell our candidates because if we don’t have the platform to reach out to people,one will not know what we are doing and it was due to this development that we are being appreciated.”he submitted

Hon Fregene who is also vying for the position of the Chairman Ejigbo LCDA stated that he is in the race to consolidate the traits of leadership and success they have achieved, having worked with a tireless and performing chairman.

“We have acquired and we are experienced so as to continue in bringing more dividends to the people of Ejigbo. What the people should expect from us is more infrastructural development and human capital development, strengthening our agencies such as the educational sector, entertainment industry and youths inclusiveness,our plan is to see how we can develop human capacity, infrastructures and develop our youths that are talented by showcasing them to the world ” he stated.

Highlight of the event was unveiling of the cardinal projects to be embarked upon by the Constituency Forum this year and Omotola Sax who spice up the event with her melodious tune to the admiration of all.

Dignitaries that attended the occasion include political leaders, councilors,Local government chairmanships and councilors aspirants, Alhaji Wasiu Aromashodu, Alhaji Jubril Olamowewe, Chief Hamza Olarewaju(Balogun of Ejigbo), Chief Anozie lffy(CEO of New Heaven), Alhaji Shamsudeen Olaleye,Hon Nurudeen Balogun among others.
