Hon. Olakanle Oladotun was a dedicated and visionary leader,who was committed to bringing positive change to Onigbongbo LCDA.
Born on February 3, 1970,hailed from two ancestral lines: the Abejide family of Oke-Agbe, Akoko, Ondo State, and the Adeleye Ramoni Fayemi clan of Agboroko Town in the Iba LCDA of Badagry Division in Lagos State.
His educational journey reflects his commitment to excellence and knowledge. He began his primary education at Primary School in Agege, Lagos State, after which he attended Kagoro Road Primary School, Kaduna, Kaduna State.
He furthered his education at Community Secondary School, Egbeda, Kwara State, where he obtained his WAEC in 1987. He then proceeded to the Institute of Basic and Applied Sciences and sat for the IJMB in 1989.

Later, he obtained a B.Sc. in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Lagos State University, Ojo and Agege campuses.
His quest for knowledge led him to Lagos State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc.) in Sociology with Second Class Honours (Lower Division) in 1996.
In the pursuit of higher education, the exemplary leader earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration (MPA) from Lagos State University, Agege Campus, in 2014. Presently, he is a master’s student studying International Relations at the prestigious University of Ibadan.
In recognition of his commitment and service, he has received numerous awards, including the Society ICON Award (SIA) in grassroots governance by NIJ in 2014. He has also been honored with the Merit Award of Service by Tunwase School PTA in 2017 and the Distinguished Role Model Merit Award of Honour in Awori Land by GBA Communications Limited in 2018.
He was sworn in as chairman of Onigbongbo LCDA by the Executive Governor after Hon. Babatunde Oke’s suddenly died as a result of COVID 19 complications as the Vice Chairman of the former council boss.

Investigator news reports that the late Oladotun was spotted at the Diamond Jubilee birthday celebration of one of his colleagues, which took place at Radisson Blu, Ikeja, Lagos just two nights ago.
