Ifere, an award-winning Gender Equality Activist, Consultant, and Women’s Empowerment Coach with a legal background, is dedicated to advancing gender equality, promoting women’s rights, and fostering peace.
Ruhamah Ifere has over the years shown capacity, capability and diligence in her contribution to humanity, knowing that service to humanity is the best work of life.
With rich and excellent years of experience, she has collaborated with diverse stakeholders to address pressing social issues, including gender-based violence, human rights, and climate change.
Ruhamah Ifere founded ‘The Youth Evolve’, which advocates for the active inclusion of young women and girls in leadership and speaking out against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV).
Her leadership in the Sexual Offences Watch Observers Project (SOWO) inspired over 5,000 young people to take action against SGBV, driving societal change and raising awareness across the country.
Reiterating that the deepest crave of man, is the crave to be appreciated, Ruhamah Ifere has received accolades from the Young Africa Leaders Initiative (YALI) and was named among the Top 25 females in Peacebuilding by Galaxy4Peace and Top Young Africans by Opportunities Hub. What a way to reward excellence and commitment!
As the Founder of Trully Verify Africa, she’s committed to combating misinformation and disinformation through media literacy and technology-driven solutions.
She has not relented in her efforts to unveil her thoughts through writing. She’s the author of “21 Answers to the Volunteers Questions: A Must-Know for Every Volunteer,” a practical guide for empowering volunteers.
*Her Rotaract Journey:*
Ruhamah Ifere was inducted in March 2023 in the Rotaract club of Isolo and has served in different capacities.
She held the position of Treasurer from 2023 to 2024.
She was the Chairperson, Basic Education and Literacy project (Zone F) from 2023 to 2024
She was the Installation Chairperson from 2023 to 2024.
Ifere facilitated a Peacebuilding session upon invitation by the IPP, Rotary Club of Isolo, Rotarian Hajia Abiola Oseni- February 2024
She was recognised with an award by the Zone F Zonal Rotaract Representative, Rtr Olusegun Johnson- June 2024
Today the 24th of August,2024,she will be installed as the 38th irresistible President of the Rotaract club of Isolo, Rotaract International District 9111, making her the first female president of the club within this district and she is ever ready to make a difference and impact in transforming Rotaract club of lsolo to its enviable height.
Ifere who hails from Abia State had a stint in LL.B Law- National Open University (2021), Certification in Public Leadership and Policy – School of Politics Policy and Governance (2023), Public Policy – YALI RLC ACCRA- 2019, Leadership Masterclass – GOTNI Leadership Center (2022)
With all these, she still exudes humility. She is urbane, easy going, down to earth and ready to serve still.
She has come an exemplary effigy of modesty and role model to younger generation who look up to her for inspiration and motivation. She’s a character to emulate and embrace.
